•Scholarship to Cover JAMB, University/Polytechnic Tuition Fee

  • Beneficiaries To Be Selected On Merit

The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode Foundation is set to award free scholarships to over 120 secondary students in Offa and 10 from the Oyun local government area of Kwara state for the 2024 West African Examination Council WAEC and National Examination Council NECO, respectively.

This was announced by the Foundation’s representative, Mr. Saheed Lawal at the MOK Foundation’s office today in Offa.

According to him, the scholarship will capture fresh 120 students across all public secondary schools in Offa and 10 students from Oyun Local Government, alongside the previous best 10 students being the beneficiaries at the last Offa Students’ Union Summer School held at Offa Grammar School this year and the earlier 10 students whose NECO fees were paid some months ago and resulted in being released.

Mr. Lawal said the modality for the selection of these indigent students will be based on pure merit and recommendations from their respective schools. He added that only indigent students from all public secondary schools in Offa will be eligible to partake in the qualifying aptitude test.

According to him, MOK Foundation is taking steps further to foot the JAMB registration fee for whoever among these 120 students excels in their O’ level examination, as they will subsequently be offered further free scholarships into tertiary institutions, be it universities or polytechnic education, if such students again pass their JAMB examination to study their choice of courses.

The Muideen Kayode Okunlola Foundation has been reputable for social and youth development, among others, as this is part of the MOK Foundation educational support project. It will be recalled that recently the foundation equally paid JSS 3 examination fees for the best 21 students at the last Offa Students’ Union Summer class, supported by cash gifts to both the students and staff of the summer school.

The educational support program remains one of the cardinal objectives of the MOK Foundation, which has earned the founder the name Ambassador of Development.

Mr. Saheed Lawal
